my friends tell me that GTA IV is coming out only for xbox 360, not ps3 cuz microsoft bought them out. is this true??

No they didn't but they did work out a deal. GTA IV will come out for both the PS3 and 360 at the same time. (Previoulsy, XBOX had to wait 6-8 months)

One thing that 360 will have those is exclusive downloadable content (ie. more missions)

no way, your friend if full of crap, gta 4 isn't even confirmed yet, they know very little of the game, if it does come out for xbox 360 first it's only becasue the 360 is the only new high tech console out right now.
No, they did not, GTA IV has already been made and is in testing in japan,at sony for PS3, PS3 will come out before dec 06, GTAIV i have no idea on, probally in early 07. But if you didn't know u can check this out, but microsoft owns about 40 percent of Sony.
