Microsoft Fax Console question?

I have recently enabled Microsoft fax console on my PC, and now my computer turns on whenever the phone rings. How do I disable this so the computer does not turn on when phone rings? (I will only be using fax on rare occasions)

Make sure the FAX software is not in your ''startup'' folder. As long as it is not running in the background the phone won't interrupt you. Since you only need fax on rare occasions, you can then go in and start it up when you need it.
