Use Open Office. It does all the same things and it's free.

Yeah OpenOffice is free, or you can buy MS Office for a 拢70 or so...
If you wanted to buy it legally, probably your best bet would be a Student %26 Teacher edition. It includes Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook, and you can use it on up to three PCs.

Another alternative if you have broadband would be to download a free package, such as OpenOffice (http://www.openoffice.org) or StarOffice (http://www.sun.com/software/star/staroff... They are fairly compatible with MS Office files these days.
If you are a student in full time education you can buy Microsoft Office in any good retailer such as PC World, but you are entitled to buy the student edition: all the features you'll need for student work at a fraction of the normal price. Expect to pay about 拢100. (Instead of 拢500+!)
try amazon.com

i have had great success with them but be sure to check out they seller profile first. you need student edition this is a lot cheaper than professional edition
borrow the cd from sum1.... ----%26gt; free of cost ;)
Openoffice lacks a few formatting options sometimes, and pretends to wing a few options which is what I don't like about openoffice.

I'm sure you can flash your student card somewhere to get educational discounts once you go back to college. Or just buy it on campus, it should be like half price.
do a search for OEM software.
once you at college

your studentcard gets you the discount
i think the student version is kinda cheap. but you aren't going to get a copy (legitimately anyhow) for less than 拢70 or so. Microsoft want to rip us off. They have done, and are doing. And they won't stop.

If you want to use an alternative, try openoffice.org. It's free. It's a fantastic Office suite which can open and save to all Microsoft Office file formats, and it looks near as dammit to Word/Excel etc!
