Microsoft has brought forward the release of it's new operating system, Windows 7, which will supersede Vista much earlier than anticipated..is this because of security issues with Vista?

Vista is going to go the way of Windows Millenium.
People stayed with Windows 98 until XP came out. It's the same deal with Vista. There are a few people happy with it but overall, it was a huge train wreck.
M$ didn't just drop the ball with Vista, they shot it full of buckshot, swallowed the remains with a little bean dip, bent over, and umm......well you get the picture...%26lt;grin%26gt;

i would think so
though i think vista is fine
From what I've read on the next release of Microsoft Windows, it may have more to do with:
- lack of broad acceptance of MS Vista
- a more modular approach to MS Windows 7 - improved memory footprint, only install and pay for what you need (i.e. more ways to charge you for using their software)
While I'm sure security will continue to improve with each release from Microsoft, I hadn't heard that it was a reason for pushing up the next release.
Another possibility could be that many of the features initially promoted as being for Vista are finally going to be available. Rather than releasing them as updates to Vista, maybe they'll just include them in the new version.
no. any computer can be hacked. its easy. you can't stop everything.
I refuse to upgrade to Vista anyway, im keeping XP till its dead in the water. Vista is so full of holes i could use it to fish with. Windows 7 is unlikely to be any better!
Yes it is. Your right on the money.
