what does it mean or what will I have to do if I try to open a microsoft file and a box pops up that says,
Microsoft 2003 setup and then has a username box, an initial box, and a organization option and then a place for a 25 character product key. It says you will find this number on the back of the product CD case or on your certificate of authenticity. It says Product key and then has five empty boxes. I cant print this file because of this box. What does microsoft want? What do I do?
Do I have to have microsoft office to open some files.?mcaffee
Looks to me that you have a trial version of Office on your computer that has since expired.
Depending on the type of file you are trying to print, you can try downloading and using Open Office or you can try downloading and using the appropriate viewer.
Open Office
http://www.openoffice.org/
Word Viewer 2003
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...
Excel Viewer 2003
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...
(Note: Viewer products will not allow you to type or edit, only view and print).

it's telling you that your trial period of the software is up, and it's asking you to buy a license for the program to continue using it.
