Microsoft problem, pretty easy..help!?

I have microsoft word 2007, anyone know how to acess the word count?? I don't know how to get to it and I need to count 700 words for an application. Help??

On the very bottom left of the screen, it says Words: followed by the number of words.

To turn on Word count in Microsoft Word 2007, follow these steps:

1. Right-click the Status bar at the bottom of the window

2. Select Word Count

The word count for the entire document will be displayed in the Status bar. If you want to see the word count for a particular selection, simply highlight the select text.

For more detailed information about your document鈥檚 word count, follow these steps:

1. Open the Review ribbon

2. Click Word Count in the Proofing section

A box will display the number of pages, word count, character count, paragraph count, and line count.
To count words in selected text only, select the text you want.

If you don't select any text, Microsoft Word counts the words in the whole document.

On the Tools menu, click Word Count.
